Most ponds large and small provide a natural attraction and haven for many forms of wildlife, some will be visitors and some will become resident. Wildlife ponds do not usually contain any fish as fish can limit the species diversity in a pond, without fish a pond will contain all manner of aquatic life forms some of which will have a life cycle that will be lived out entirely within and around the pond.
